St Ives September Festival 2025: Where Art Meets the Atlantic

This September, the cobbled streets and golden beaches of St Ives will once again pulse with creativity as the St Ives September Festival returns from Saturday 13th to Saturday 27th September 2025. Whether you’re a lover of live music, curious about contemporary art, or simply seeking a spirited escape by the sea, this is the moment to experience Cornwall at its most expressive.

The Festival is the beating heart of St Ives’ artistic soul, an eclectic mix of street performances, pop-up exhibitions, poetry readings, comedy nights, and open studios. It’s where local talent meets national names, and where every corner of the town becomes a stage. From the newly refurbished St Ives Theatre to tucked-away galleries and harbour front pubs, the town transforms into a living canvas.

This year’s programme is bursting with over 250 events, many of them free to attend. Highlights include:

  • The Countrymen kicking off the festival with their high-energy folk-rock on opening night
  • Fascinating Aida, the legendary cabaret trio, closing the festival with wit and flair (already sold out!)
  • Steve Knightley, Martin Simpson, and Martha Tilston bringing soulful acoustic sets to intimate venues
  • Street entertainment led by the Falmouth Marine Band—expect brass, banter, and brilliant costumes
  • Film screenings, including works by Cornish director Mark Jenkin, plus talks, guided walks, and workshops

At Stay Ca Holidays, we offer handpicked holiday homes across Cornwall, including in and around St Ives. Whether you’re planning a romantic retreat, a family adventure, or a solo creative escape, our properties place you just steps from the festival’s magic.

Imagine waking up to the sound of gulls and guitars, sipping coffee as artists set up their easels outside your window, and ending the day with laughter echoing from a nearby pub gig. That’s the Fringe Festival experience and it’s waiting for you.
