The wonderfully maintained 9-hole, par-3 golf course has been established for many years and is ever popular with members and the public alike, offering access to golf for everyone.  You might not be looking for a golf break, but the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere on Wheal Dream will see you playing a round again and again during your Cornish staycation.

Wheal Dream golf is perfect place for players of all skill levels, whether your are a complete novice, budding golfer or seasoned player, there is good fun to be had.

Equipment hire is available for both adults and children — so all you need to bring is yourself!

For a football fan, football golf is a great way to showcase your skills and abilities.  The 18-hole course is designed to challenge players but at the heart of it, it is wonderful fun for all ages and abilities.

Just collect a ball each from the reception hut and off you go.  The Wheal Dream football golf course has plenty of obstacles to avoid and there is a boat on one of the fairways in a nod to Wheal Dream’s proximity to the coast and most notably Porthleven.

Whether playing with family, friends or your partner you are sure to enjoy the Wheal Dream football golf experience and most certainly will be looking for a rematch!

If the other golf options aren’t enough there is even more on offer at Wheal Dream.  Given the owner is a former Premiership and Top 14 rugby player is no surprise that rugby gold was introduced to Wheal Dream in 2022.

Played over 9 or 18 holes players will need to kick and pass thier way through the course to show off their skill and accuracy.  Like all things Wheal Dream the relaxed atmosphere means you don’t have to be a rugby enthusiast to get involved and have fun.

Your Helston staycation at Wheal Dream wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the on-site Wheal Dream Restaurant. The restaurant is firm favourite with locals serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with a great team on hand to ensure you have a great time.  The opening times alter seasonally, so please check their website at the time of booking, but Sunday’s are always reserved for the famous Wheal Dream carvery where their amazing Sunday roast takes centre stage.

While we know your Helston self catering break offers you all your need to dine in your holiday home, the on-site restaurant option gives an extra choice at meal times from a full English breakfast to a tasty lunch or even a couple of drinks in the bar area.
