Is Cornwall Gold a good place to visit?

Tucked away in the heart of Cornwall, Cornwall Gold is one of those rare places that surprises you from the moment you arrive.

It’s not just the free parking, free entry or the warm welcome for four‑legged friends that make it stand out, it’s the sense of discovery that unfolds as you explore. Whether you’re drawn by its heritage, hands‑on experiences or simply a great family day out, Cornwall Gold offers a refreshing blend of history, creativity and Cornish charm that keeps visitors coming back time and again.

The Tolgus exhibition offers an insight into the mill’s rich history and with it’s interactive displays and working machinery and whether you want to marvel over the engineering or dress up as a tin miner or bal maiden there is plenty to keep you entertained.

You can also try your hand at panning for gold, a great activity for all ages whilst also being undercover and not open to weather disruption.

There is also the chance to paint and create pottery, make your own bear, pick a diamond or find a pearl.  There are charges for some activities but there is plenty on offer to entertain your visitors of all ages.

As an added bonus, the award winning Cornish Pantry is also onsite serving up some of the best locally sourced food celebrating the culinary seasonal variety that Cornwall has to offer.
